Here she is, missing the spacebar unfortunately but for £55 this was worth the trip next job is see what works.

I saw an Einstein refurb video on YouTube a while back and the guy cleaned the keys and then dried them off in the oven, slightly deforming the space bar. I think he managed to replace it so it may be that a space bar from another computer fits. If I find the video I will post a link.

Edit - the video was from RetrogamerVX but it looks like he didn’t sort the spacebar.

Shame, I need to keep an eye out for a spacebar.

The TC01 seems to work absolutely fine and the monitor has glow so there's good signs it might work ok, will see once i've sorted out a cable for it

The spacebar might be one for the 3d printers

Interesting thought i'll look into that. Doesn't seem to be the same size as any of the modern ones you can buy or any of the other old computers i have around here

Yes, it seems fairly easy to get hold of a standard 6.25u spacebar. It looks like the Einstein needs an 8u.

I've seen references to 7u, 8u and even 9u so it might be possible to source a replacement ...

Apparently each #u is 19.05mm.

Useful to know. Looks like an 8u spacebar will be slightly too large anyway as the Einstein spacebar is 150mm.

8 * 19.05mm = 152.40mm
7 * 19.05mm = 133.35mm

It's certainly a custom size!

I think the size also includes the gaps or at least the gap on one side of the key so it could be 8.
