Re: First post on my TC-01
John, Great to hear you have resurrected another Einstein. I use a BBC->SCART cable with my Einstein and it works fine, so I think the pinout should be compatible. Having said that I have it plugged into an OSSC to generate an HDMI signal for my monitor. According to this page http://www ...

Re: A good terminal emulator?
So it turns out that neither TTY or UKM7EIN2 use any form of flow control, which explains why characters get dropped when the screen scrolls if they are connected at anything above 300 baud. (TTY does have an XON/XOFF option, but that only seems to be used when you exit a session to go back to the ...

Re: A good terminal emulator?
I'm tickled that this is still the most recently active thread having posted my question 8 months ago*, but I do have a follow up question ... I have a random smattering of operating ...

Re: Another TC-01 back to life
Thanks Lardo. The external GoTek is a very cool setup - and I could probably get all the bits for less than the price of a couple of CF2 blank disks. One thing did pique my perverse interest in using mouldy old disks to store all my valuable data - I have a lovely set of Cumana twin DSDD 5.25" disk ...

Another TC-01 back to life
I thought I should say hello after lurking for a while. I bought a twin drive TC-01 (is that a TC-02?) while visiting family in the UK last year. It had the usual "blank display, no alpha-lock" symptoms, so having waited for it to be shipped back home to New Zealand with some other goodies, it has ...
