FS - Einstein TC01 key tops and key switches
Hello, I have a set of key tops and working key switches for sale. I currently have all key tops except space bar (already offered to a forum member). They have yellowed a bit as with any 1980s plastic so please expect them to not be exactly the same colour as your keys. I am asking £4 per keytop, ...

Re: How to remove keyboard?
Just to answer my own post, having watched a TC01 teardown on YouTube I needed to loosen the floppy drive and move in on top of the PSU, remove the floppy blanking plate (only have a single floppy drive system) then remove 8 screws along the back of the black plastic riser holding the keyboard ...

How to remove keyboard?
As per title please. I've removed the top cover, and the three screws under the front of the keyboard. Do I need to remove the floppy drive next?

Re: First post on my TC-01
Hi, I set one of my Cub monitors to RGB analogue and connected it to the TC01. When powering the monitor on I could see the Tantung welcome screen, but as soon as the monitor had warmed up the brightness level was far too high and I just got an all white(ish) screen. My Cubs don't have VR134 ...

Re: First post on my TC-01
Thanks Ian,
Yes the video signal levels are very likely the issue. I tried using the TTL input on my Acorn 28-ADF32 monitor, which uses the BBC and Tantung DIN pinout, but it also has a 1V p-p SCART input. I'll try a different monitor such as a Cub set to analogue RGB.

John

First post on my TC-01
Hi, I have owned a TC-01 for years, having bought it at a computer fair in Essex and then put it in the loft. I finally got it down this week, first thing checked was the PSU, I disconnected it and saw it had no Rifa capacitors fitted so I powered it on and found the output voltages were all OK. I ...

Re: A good terminal emulator?
Hi,
Try running one under CP/M.

suggests IMP or MEX (I've not tried either, but did use ZIMP on a Zenith once).

John

Re: TM-01 Vertical Deflection Issues
Well done Adam in getting your monitor very nearly perfect.
For issue #1, is the problem the frame retrace not blanking? See
http://easkcom.blogspot.com/2012/05/why ... occur.html
for descriptions of the problem. Can then look for possible causes.

John
